Business Permit Requirements Cainta Rizal

Business Permit Requirements at Cainta Rizal

In 2022, the Municipality of Cainta was awarded the 2nd Highest Locally Sourced Revenue Hall of Fame, next to Limay, Bataan. In 2019, Cainta was the first highest LSR Hall of Fame all over the Philippines. (Bureau of Local Government Finance, 2022)

Despite its limited land area and being the smallest town in Rizal Province, the Municipality of Cainta has maintained excellent standing in good governance, especially in supporting businesses. This made them successfully generate locally sourced revenue (LSR) of Php907.02 Million in 2021.

Because of this, business owners and entrepreneurs from neighboring cities such as Pasig and Marikina are encouraged to set up their businesses in Cainta. For freelancers, small-medium entrepreneurs, service-based business owners, and solopreneurs, Cainta Rizal is the best place to jumpstart their enterprises.

If you wish to set up your business in Cainta (a new application), here is a simple guide to help you.

1. PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS

Always get ready to minimize your time of waiting. The documents you will need are the following:

  • 💼

Application for Business Permit and License (you can get it from Cainta BPLO).
  • 💼

Original and Notarized Lease Contract (with your office lessor)
  • 💼

Occupancy Permit (of your lessor/office building)
  • 💼

     Location Map of your office
  • 💼

     Photos of your Office
  • 💼

     Photos of the Building's CCTV
  • 💼

Fire Certificate (of your lessor/office building)
Once you have completed/signed the forms and documents above, submit them to the Cainta BPLO (Business Permit and Licensing Office). It is at the back of the Cainta Municipal Hall: No. 73 A. Bonifacio Ave., Brgy. Sto. Domingo,Cainta, Rizal, 1900

2. BPLO WILL INSPECT YOUR OFFICE

If approved, the BPLO officer will advise you about the inspection, and they will give you a BPLO stub. After assessment, they will send you an SMS for the Tax Payment or Business Tax dues.

3. PAY YOUR TAX DUES, FIRE, AND SANITARY PERMITS

You must pay your business permit dues at the Finance Office of Cainta Municipal Hall. After settling the tax payment, you can proceed to the Bureau of Fire Protection to comply with the requirements for issuing a Fire Certificate. They will advise you to wait for the inspection for the Fire Certificate. After the inspection, you will receive an SMS from them that your Fire Certificate is already available.

4. COMPLY WITH THE SANITARY PERMIT

Also, the Cainta Health Office will require you to comply with their requirements before issuing a Sanitary Permit. Usually, a typical service-based business needs a medical result that includes (1) fecalysis, (2) urinalysis, and (3) X-ray of your declared employees. Once you have submitted these documents, the Health Office will review and release a Sanitary Permit for your business.

5. GET YOUR BUSINESS PERMIT

Once you have complied with all the requirements, the Cainta BPLO will inform you when you will get your business permit. Sometimes, it only takes a day to three days, depending on the workload in the office.

6. OTHER GOVERNMENT LICENSES

There needs to be more than a Mayor's Permit. Please register your business at BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and PagIbig.

PLEASE NOTE: This is the Cainta BPLO process as of writing this article (2023). This is subject to change at the discretion of the Cainta Municipal Hall. It is always recommended to contact the Cainta BPLO for clarifications and more concerns. Contact No.: 8696-2572, Email: bplo@cainta.gov.ph.
